POSITION SUMMARY
To manage a book of business of existing customers for retention and growth To develop a pipeline to sell new business and to execute on all activities to drive member experience.
Fundamental Components:
in this role the AD will spend 80% of their time on activities related to retaining the customer, growing the membership within their book and ensuring a best of class member experience. the candidate must be organized, demonstrate ability to develop and execute on customer strategies for retention and growth. Be able to develop a small new business pipeline and focus on pursing strong customer, broker and consultant relationships.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
Medicare Advantage product experience
Health care Industry experience
Experience in account management
Experience in negotiation selling
Project management experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support existing business development with insights and data analytics
Benefit and Plan design SME
Day-to-Day support for existing business RFP actions
Liaison between sales and other areas (Product, Underwriting, Compliance, Operations)
Support finalist meetings
Facilitate external meetings, including planning the meeting, developing materials, prepping presenters and setting meeting expectations of the prospect
Provide input on existing business strategies and support key workstreams of the plan
Support and facilitate of thought leadership around key Industry topics
Lead for pipeline management and reporting for new business, including technology tools
Manage for profitable growth
o Creates and implements realistic, affordable plans to meet business objectives
o Uses rigorous financial and value analysis to manage and enhance profitability
o Assesses and adjusts return on value of services to achieve profitability
o Integrates cross-functional interdependencies when making business decisions
Anticipate and respond to marketplace trends
o Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information
o Formulates strategies and tactics that convey product or services value proposition
o Influences product development to anticipate and respond to marketplace trends
Develop strategies that drive the business
o Scans environment to anticipate investments that reshape the business to meet emerging market needs
o Identifies and leads shifts in strategic direction as market conditions dictate
EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
